The Rochester woman accused of striking and killing a pedestrian and seriously injuring a second man has pleaded “not guilty” in City Court.

Chermasia Collins is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, DWI and reckless driving. She’s accused of driving drunk and speeding when she lost control of her car on Lyell Avenue, jumped the curb, and hit the two men before crashing into a utility pole.

Twenty-six-year-old Jordan Askew was killed, and 21-year-old Alex Kunz is in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Bail for the 29-year-old Collins has been set at $30,000, and the case may be presented to a grand jury once the police investigation wraps up.
