Searchers looked until dark Thursday for a missing Parma man without success. The search resumes on Friday on wild land around his home.

William Mason is 69 and was last seen Tuesday morning. He left his car at home and didn’t tell anyone where he was going, both of which are suspicious according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Major Lou Tomassetti said searchers used drones, K9 units from Monroe and Wayne County and personnel from a number of area fire departments. SCUBA divers went into water on the property, which is heavily wooded and hilly. Tomasetti said it’s a tough area for a search, but crews are used to the job.

Authorities ask anyone with information about William Mason to call a tip line they’ve set up at 585-753-4175.
