8 teams will qualify for the playoffs this season.
PHILADELPHIA, PA. — The following changes have been made to the National Lacrosse League (NLL) Playoffs format to accommodate expansion within the league. New for this season, 8 of the 11 teams now will earn a playoff berth.
Round 1 – The East and West Division winners will be seeded #1 within their respective divisions and play the #4 seed, while the #2 and #3 seeds play each other in the first round. The higher seeds will be the hosts in Round 1.
Division Finals – 1-game series between the winners of Round 1, hosted by the higher-remaining seed.
NLL Final – East vs. West Division winners in a Best-of-3 series. The higher-remaining seed will be the host for games 1 and 3, if necessary.
