New Yorkers overwhelmingly approve of the way Governor Andrew Cuomo is handling the coronavirus situation.
A new Siena College Poll finds 87 percent of New Yorkers approve of the job Cuomo is doing. THey also give high marks to Dr. Anthony Fauci and their local county health departments. Only 41 percent approve of how President Trump has been handling the crisis, and 56 percent disapprove.
More than 90 percent of New Yorkers say they’re very or somewhat concerned at the coronavirus outbreak. And 79 percent say they’re personally concerned or somewhat concerned about catching the disease themselves. Nearly one-third of voters know someone who tested positive.
