New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has written to the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border protection, demanding they describe the specific steps they’re taking to comply with federal court orders against President Trump’s immigration order.

The order severely restricts immigration from seven Muslim countries, suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days, and bars all Syrian refugees indefinitely. Several federal judges including in New York have issued injunctions suspending parts of it pending court hearings in February.

Schneiderman says his office has received reports that the federal agencies may not be complying with the court orders and are planning to deport individuals specifically protected by the courts. Schneiderman is demanding a full list of all individuals being detained by immigration at JFK Airport.
