With a mutated version of the coronavirus now reported spreading in the United Kingdom, Governor Cuomo says British Airways and Delta have agreed to require a COVID-19 test before allowing passengers to board planes bound for Kennedy Airport.
Cuomo says he’s made the same request of Virgin Atlantic, the third airline that connects the UK with New York State.
New York is now the first state on a list of 120 countries including Canada that have similar requirements.
Governor Cuomo also called repeatedly on Monday for the federal government to impose the same condition on all flights from Great Britain to the United States.
