The Rochester School Board has unanimously named Dr. Lesli Myers-Small as the city’s new school superintendent.
Myers-Small is currently the Assistant Commissioner of Innovation and School Reform for the State of New York, responsible for helping under-achieving school districts. Prior to that, she was superintendent of the Brockport Central School District. She worked in the Rochester school district in the 1990s.
Myers-Small replaces Terry Dade who resigned after submitting a budget plan that had to cut tens of millions of dollars to close a revenue gap.
