A neighbor alerted residents of a house at 307 N. Glide Street to a fire early Monday morning, allowing four adults and two children to get out of the house before firefighters arrived.
The fire was on the outside of the house, and firefighters attacked it both from the inside on the second floor and outside. Damage was confined to the second floor exterior wall, although there was some smoke and water damage to the interior.
One elderly person was checked out by an ambulance crew but didn’t need to go to the hospital. No firefighters were injured. The cause is under investigation.
