Several of the players are playing for the RIT Tigers.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The NCAA D3 lacrosse season is underway and here are some of the D3 seniors who are standing out thus far. Some of them might be in a Rochester Rattlers uniform this summer.
Attack:
Ryan Lee (RIT Tigers): Played at The Hill Academy. Lee is from Sharon, Ontario. Scored five goals and four assists in the win over Stevenson University on Saturday afternoon. Lee led the team with 90 points last season (65 goals and 25 assists).
Cam Cetrone (Albright Lions): Played Arundel High School. Cetrone is from Odenton, MD. He scored 4 goals and 3 assists in win over Mary Washington on February 22. Led the Lions with 51 goals and also dished out 20 assists.
Sean Fumai (Gettysburg Bullets): Played at Weston High School. Fumai is from Weston, Conn. He scored 3 goals and 1 assist in loss against Salisbury University on February 25. Fumai has 11 goals and 2 assists in three games in 2017. He only played in two games last year before being sidelined with an injury.
Midfielder:
Kyle D’Onofrio (Stevenson Mustangs): Played at Fallston. D’Onofrio is from Baldwin, MD. He scored five goals and one assist in their season opener against the RIT Tigers. D’Onofrio played in 20 games last season, scoring 26 goals and 19 assists for the Mustangs in 2016.
Braden Wallace (RIT Tigers): Played at Abbey Park. Wallace is from Oakville, Ontario. He scored 2 goals and 2 assists in win over Ohio Wesleyan University on February 18. He had 28 goals and 12 assists for the Tigers in 2016.
Steven Ricci (RIT Tigers): Played at Pittsford Sutherland. Ricci is from Rochester. He scored 1 goal and went 80% on face-offs against Ohio Wesleyan University on February 18. Played in 12 games last season after returning from injury and averaged 6.33 ground balls per game.
Defense:
JD Hall (RIT Tigers): Played Arapahoe. LSM from Centennial, CO. Scored 3 goals in win over Stevenson University on Saturday, February 25. In 2016, Hall scored 7 goals and 5 assists for Tigers.
Tom Brown (Stevenson Mustangs): Played at Boy’s Latin. Brown is from Baltimore, MD. He had 3 caused turnovers in loss to RIT Tigers on February 25.
Jake Marfise (Centre Colonels): Played at Berkeley Prep. Marfise is from Tampa, FL. He has 6 caused turnovers in two games this year.
Craig Lowman (King’s College Monarches): Played at Kent County. Lowman is from Chesterton, MD. He has 5 caused turnovers in two games this season.
Goalie:
Nick Nesbitt (RIT Tigers): Played at Salisbuury School. Nesbitt is from Burlington, Ontario. He had 13 saves against Stevenson University on Saturday for the win. He played in 11 games last season, going 9 – 1. Led RIT with 121 saves in the 2016 season.
Colin Reymann (Salisbury Sea Gulls): Played at Mt. St. Joseph. Reymann is from Catonsville, MD. He has played in 4 games in 2017, making 26 saves and .583 save percentage. Reymann played had 14 game starts in 2016, he had 116 saves with a save percentage of .586.
Nick Bonastia (Elmhurst College BlueJays): Played at St. John Vianney. Bonastia is from St. Louis, MO. He has 25 saves in 3 games for the BlueJays with a save percentage of .61. Played in all games during the 2016 season, making 200 saves with a .531 save percentage.
