One or more of these player could end up in a Rochester Rattlers uniform this summer.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The NCAA lacrosse season is underway and there have been some exciting lacrosse already in February. Here are a few of the seniors who are standing out, and who could be in a Rochester Rattlers uniform this summer.

Attack

Connor Cannizzaro (Denver Pioneers): Played at Cazenovia High School. Led Denver with a team high 69 points with 46 goals and 23 assists in 2016. Scored 4 goals and two assists in the first two games for the Pioneers against Air Force on February 11th and Duke on February 18th.

Cam Milligan (Vermont Catamounts): Played at Holy Cross Secondary School in Peterborough, Ontario). Ranked second on team in scoring with 56 points (30 goals and 26 assists) in 2016. Milligan has scored 8 goals and 8 assists in three games for the Catamounts (3 – 0).

Ian King (Michigan Wolverines): Played at St. Xavier. Third on the team in goals with 13 in 2016. Has scored 9 goals for Michigan in three games (3 – 0). Scored five goals in win over Lafayette on February 11th.

Wilkins Dislike (John Hopkins University Blue Jays): Played at Rock Canyon in Colorado. Finished second on the team with 24 goals and also picked up 18 ground balls. Scored 6 goals in 2 games for John Hopkins.

Matt Rambo (Maryland Terapins): Played at Lasalle College High School. Had career highs in 2016 with 75 points (43 goals and 32 assists). Scored 6 goals and 6 assists in 2 games for the Terps, including 3 goals and 3 assists in the last two games for Maryland.

Jordan Evans (Syracuse Orange): Played at Jamesville-Dewitt High School. Had career highs in 2016 with 27 goals and 8 assists in 2016. Scored three goals in win over Sienna in season opener on February 11th.

Midfield

Trupert Ortlieb (Delaware Blue Hens): Played at Episcopal Academy in Drexel, PA. Transfer from Providence College. Has 7 goals in two games for the season.

Alex Corpolongo (Stony Brook Seawolves): Played at Somers High School. Had career highs in 2016 with 36 goals and 7 assists. Scored 7 extra man goals last season. Scored five goals and four assists in two games in 2017 including 2 goals and 2 assists in win over St. John’s on Sunday, February 19th.

Nick Mariano (Syracuse Orange): Played at Yorktown. Had a team-high 35 goals in 2016 with 11 assists. Scored game winner against the Albany Great Danes on Saturday. Scored one goal and one assist against Albany. Leading the Orange with 9 points (4 goals and 5 assists).

Jack Bruckner (Duke Blue Devils): Played at Ward Melville. Played all 19 games at attack, now playing at midfield. Scored 100 career points. Scored 2 goals and 1 assist in loss to Denver on February 18th.

Defense

Garrett Waldron (Binghamton Bearcats): Played at West Genesee. Recorded 22 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers in 2016. Has 5 caused turnovers in first game of season (win over Colgate).

Matt Ress (Navy Midshipmen): Played at Boys’ Latin. Leads team with 55 caused turnovers with 55 in 2016. Has 10 caused turnovers in 3 games in 2017.

Tyler Mayes (Towson Tigers): Played at Calvert Hall College. Played in all 19 games for the Tigers in 2016, registering a team-high 25 caused turnovers. Mayes had 3 caused turnovers in win over Mount St Mary on February 18th.

Austin Pifani (North Carolina TarHeels): Played at Abington. Started all 15 games for the TarHeels in 2016. Has 14 caused turnovers in 2016. Has 7 caused turnovers for North Carolina in 3 games including 4 against Lehigh on February 18th.

Goalie

Benny Pugh (Richmond Spiders): Played at Woodberry Forest School. Had a .517 save percentage in 2016, going 6 – 3 on the season. After 2 games in 2017, has a .771 save percentage for the 2 – 0 Spiders.

Christian Carson-Banister (Boston University Terriers): Played at Dallas Jesuit. Started all 15 games last year. Finished the year with 9.70 goals-against average and a .533 save percentage. In 2017, averaging .700 save percentage in three wins.

Evan Molly (Syracuse Orange): Played at Manhasset. Won 7 games in 2016, starting 9 games. Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week on February 20th. Has a save percentage of .552 in 2016 with a goal average of 7.58 for the two Syracuse wins.

Tom Carey (Ohio State Buckeyes): Played at New Canaan High School. Sat out last season. Started all three games for the Buckeyes in 2017. Goal against average is 7.60 and has allowed 17 goals in 2017.
