After more than a year of construction, Nazareth College is getting ready to unveil the new Jane and Laurence Glazer Music Performance Center, next to the Nazareth College Arts Center.
The $15.5 million project includes a 550-seat hall designed for the acoustics of large instrumental ensembles. It will serve as the rehearsal and performance space for the Nazareth Music Department, which makes up 20 percent of the student body.
It’s named for the late Rochester entrepreneurs Jane and Larry Glazer. Jane Glazer was a Nazareth graduate.
The main performance hall is named for Rose Marie and John Beston. Rose Marie Beston was the college’s seventh president.
A grand opening gala is set for September 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
