Murder suspect Holly Colino has been ruled “not competent” to stand trial for the shooting death of Megan Dix.

The 31-year-old woman is accused of second degree murder for shooting Dix to death in Brockport on August 25th. She’s also accused of possessing illegal weapons and of escaping from Monroe County deputies before she was recaptured.

Colino was in court today where she told the judge she won’t take medication for her mental illness because she doesn’t believe in it.

The judge ordered Colino to be treated at an institution and to stand trial on the charges should she ever be ruled competent.

After the Dix murder, social media postings and YouTube videos created by Colino presented the picture of a woman who descended into mental illness and believed she was being stalked by women bent on stealing her identity.
