Rochester police say the murder of an 18-year-old city man on Pardee Street was likely connected to illegal drug activity.

Police arrived on scene Monday night to see several men carrying Dayquan Williams from a home on Pardee Street. They ran as police arrived leaving the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe these men were friends of the victim and may have witnessed his murder.

Police say two homes on Pardee St. are vacant and used as drug houses. One of them is where Williams was shot.

A second shooting took place in the same area Tuesday. The victim, shot in the leg, is a 34-year-old city resident according to police.
