Four people were shot and one was stabbed Wednesday night in separate incidents that all took place in Northeast Rochester.
First a 25-year-old man was shot in the lower body on the 100 block of Weyl Street. Police say he was an innocent bystander who ended up between two other men who were shooting at each other. He’s expected to recover.
Next, a fight on Roycroft Drive led to a shooting in which two women, 18-and-19-years-old, were shot and wounded. Their injuries were minor. A 15-year-old boy was also hit and suffered minor injuries All were taken to the hospital and are recovering.
Then a dispute escalated into a fight on North Clinton Avenue in which a 19-year-old woman was stabbed and a second woman was hit by mace. A suspect is under arrest.
Police are still investigating but do not believe the incidents are related.
