Four vehicles and a bicycle were involved in a pileup near the Eastman Business Park Sunday night. A city resident was arrested for DWI after the crash at West Ridge Road and Dewey Avenue.
Officers say a westbound car on the Ridge ran a red light and hit a car that was northbound on Dewey. That collision sent the first car into a building on the corner, and sent the second car careening into the bicycle, which was being ridden by a 57-year-old man. A third car then rear-ended a fourth car as they both tried to evade the crash.
Three of the drivers went to the hospital with minor injuries. One was treated at the scene for pain. The first driver who caused the accident was charged with drunken driving.
