A motorcycle rider was killed Tuesday afternoon when a car tried to turn left across the rider’s path, causing a crash.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the man riding the motorcycle was heading east on Buffalo Road in Riga. The female driver of the car and her male passenger were traveling west when the car tried to turn left onto Percy Road.
The rider was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he later died. The people in the car weren’t injured. The driver was issued a ticket for failure to yield right of way.
