A 47-year-old motorcycle rider was killed early Monday morning when he struck a vehicle that was turning left off Westside Drive in Chili.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the rider was following the car and tried to pass it on the left just as the driver began his left turn. The rider struck the side of the turning vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The driver of the car wasn’t injured and remained at the scene. The investigation continues.
