Two men were killed in separate motorcycle accidents Saturday evening, one in Henrietta and another near Spencerport.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Brandon Szczech was riding east on Jefferson Road at Ridgeland Road. Witnesses said he ran a red light and struck a car that was turning left out of the Frontier Commons on a green arrow. Szcezech was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office spokesman says the second accident happened at West Ridge and Trimmer Roads in Parma. A car heading west on Ridge Road turned left onto Trimmer Road and hit the motorcycle which was heading east. The impact killed 54-year-old Joseph D’Agostino of Spencerport. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Driver Allison Baker of Spencerport says she never saw the motorcycle. Deputies say sun glare may have been a factor in the crash.
