A motorcycle rider was seriously injured late Wednesday night when he tried to pass a car at a high rate of speed on Waring Road.
Rochester Police say the rider tried to pass the car just as the driver began a left turn. The bike slammed into the rear of the car, throwing the rider.
Medical personnel at Strong Memorial Hospital say he suffered a concussion, broken finger and a bruised shoulder. The 34-year-old Monroe County man driving the car was not injured, but was charged with DWI.
