A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly decapitated her son in the Town of Sweden last night.
Hanane Mouhib was arraigned on a charge of second degree murder in Sweden Court this morning. Court papers say the victim was her seven-year-old son, Abraham Cardenas. They quote investigators stating the 36-year-old woman used a large kitchen knife to stab the boy in the back, then cut off his head.
Five people, including other children, were in the home when the boy was killed.
Officials say the incident was originally called in as a report of a suicidal woman with a knife. Deputies arrived at the House on Lake Road, secured several persons of interest, and discovered the dead child while checking the house.
Deputies say their investigation went on through the night and is continuing.

The Brockport Central School District says seven-year-old Abraham Cardenas was a first-grader at Barclay Elementary School.
The District says it’s deeply saddened to learn of his death. Brockport Schools have called in their trauma team and are prepared to counsel students, faculty and families if needed.
