Monroe County Legislator Joe Morelle, Jr. has announced plans to run for Irondequoit Town Supervisor, following Supervisor Dave Seeley’s announcement that he won’t seek re-election.
Morelle is the son of Congressman Joe Morelle. He’s been serving in the County Legislature since 2013 when Democrat Ted O’Brien stepped down to run for State Senate. Morelle says in a statement that Irondequoit faces a challenging path recovering from COVID-19 and rebuilding its local economy, and he looks forward to the work ahead.
