Lake Ontario stands at 248 feet, eight inches off Rochester today….but the New York Power Authority says more water is now flowing out through the St. Lawrence River.

NYPA says it increased the flow from the Long Sault Dam on the St. Lawrence this afternoon at the direction of the International Joint Commission and its St. Lawrence Control Board.

Flooding along the St. Lawrence has gone down with drier weather, making it possible to finally step up water releases from Lake Ontario.
