A Monroe County Grand Jury on Wednesday indicted the men arrested for locking a teenage girl in a convenience store and raping her. And more victims have come forward, according to police, to accuse one of the two men involved.
Shadaid Algaithy, 21, and James Hampton, 28, were indicted this week. They were arrested last month after allegedly raping the teen inside a store at the corner of Scio Street and Central Park. Both are indicted on first, second, and third degree rape charges, and also criminal possession of a weapon.
Four other victims have now come forward to accuse Algaithy of raping them. He’s been indicted on additional charges including first degree sexual abuse, first and third degree rape, criminal sexual act and attempted sexual abuse..
Algaithy is a level two sex offender and should not have been working at the store, which is across the street from a school.
