For the third time in two days, shots were fired in a Rochester neighborhood and a man took himself to the hospital after being shot in the leg.

Police LightsPolice say they were called to Dewey and Electric Avenues on the west side late Monday night for reports of shots being fired. They found the victim had left and gone to Rochester General Hospital for treatment. They say he’s a 19-year-old city man. Police are continuing to investigate.

Rochester Police say a man was shot in a fight on Weaver Street late Monday afternoon.

Police were investigating the report when they learned the victim had gone on his own to Strong Memorial Hospital to have a gunshot wound to his leg treated.

A possible suspect ran into a nearby house. Officers convinced the occupants to come out and be questioned. Nobody has been arrested yet and anyone with information is asked to call 911.

A third man was shot Sunday night on Rand Street off Dewey Avenue, not far from Dewey and Electric. He also survived being shot in the lower body.
