The numbers are shifting for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo according to the latest Siena Poll. More New York voters, but not yet a majority, think the governor should resign over the COVID nursing home deaths and the accusations that he abused female staffers.

Voters say Cuomo should stay by a 49-41 margin, compared to 51-37 who said he should not resign last month.

But Cuomo still beats any potential Republican candidate in his bid for re-election to a fourth term as governor. Democrats lead statewide 55-29 percent. When asked about Cuomo vs. any Republican, voters sided with Cuomo 48-38 percent.
