A 25-year-old Rochester man has now been charged by federal as well as state authorities with taking part in the May 30th rioting that followed a “Black Lives Matter” protest in downtown Rochester.

Federal prosecutors charged Christopher Tindal with arson and conspiracy to commit arson for torching a Rochester Police car. Charging documents say Tindal and another person used burning aerosol cans to set the patrol car on fire outside the Rochester Public Safety Building.

Tindal was identified by his clothing and distinctive tatoos seen on video of the incident. He already faces state charges filed last month.
