The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says it’s learned snowplow scammer Charles Stevens used more than one name while signing up customers for his fake snowplow business.

The Chili man was arraigned yesterday on charges of scheming to defraud and 15 counts of petit larceny. He allegedly signed more than 50 people up for snowplow services at $120 dollars each, then failed to show up when the snow did.

At least one victim in East Rochester told investigators that he answered a Craigslist ad for a person using the name Chris Kennard II, later determined to be Stevens. Deputies are asking anyone who paid for plowing services from Chris Kennard II to contact them via 911.

Meanwhile, Stevens is in jail and more charges may be coming.
