Rochester police have charged three more people in connection with the rioting earlier this month following a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Rochester.
Andrew Bell, 24, of Rochester, was identified as one of the people who smashed police car windows and took part in flipping a car over. Gary Fitzsimmons, 30, of Rochester, was identified as one of those who broke into the Court Exchange Building on Exchange Boulevard and broke several windows.
Both suspects fled the city after the riot to avoid capture, but were tracked down by police and U.S. Marshals to Clarion, Pennsylvania and arrested. Bell is charged with rioting and 9 counts of criminal mischief. Fitzsimmons with rioting, burglary and criminal mischief.
Also arrested was 25-year-old Evan Bergeron of Rochester, identified as one of the crowd who smashed windows and overturned a police car. He was arrested in Rochester and charged with rioting and criminal mischief.
Bergeron faces arraignment in City Court. Bell and Fitzsimmons are being held in Pennsylvania on $100,000 bail under Pennsylvania law.
Police say more arrests are coming.
