The National Weather Service confirms a tornado did touch down in Southern Monroe County Wednesday during that wild string of thunderstorms.

 

It was a category EF-Zero, and touched down for about four minutes starting in Wheatland Center and ending in Scottsville shortly before 7:00 p.m. The path of damage it caused was about four miles long, and the wind speeds were around 75 miles per hour. No buildings were hit, and nobody was hurt.
