The Monroe County Fair’s Facebook page says the event has been canceled for 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
They say fair volunteers will be working over the summer to improve the buildings and grounds, and they hope to see everyone when the fair returns in the summer of 2011. The dates will be August 6-8.
Surrounding counties have also canceled their fairs as a result of COVID-19.
