The Monroe County Legislature on Tuesday night approved the 2023 county budget, with $1.34 Billion in spending for county programs and services. It enacts the lowest property tax rate in county history.
It also includes a $98 million “Bring Back Monroe” initiative, using federally-provided COVID recovery money on a plan developed through public forums and consulting with community organizations. Recipients will receive four years of funding for projects serving veterans, small business owners and under-served neighborhoods.
