A Monroe County deputy was involved in a three-way car crash as he began to chase a suspect car in Brighton.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Livingston County deputies had chased the car north on I-390 into Monroe County Wednesday afternoon. Shortly after, the Monroe County deputy spotted the car on Monroe Avenue, and activated his emergency lights as the suspect car ran a red light at Clover Street and Allen’s Creek Road in Brighton. As the deputy began to follow the suspect car, the crash occurred.
The deputy was not injured. Two people involved in the accident complained of pain, but declined medical treatment.
The suspect car was not involved in the crash and got away.
