The Monroe County Department of Public Health says it should receive its first 600 doses of the monkeypox vaccine within a few days, and may have vaccination clinics set up as early as Monday.
A spokesperson says the vaccine is only for those who don’t have the virus yet, and will at first be reserved for gay, bisexual and transgender men who are most at risk. Information on making appointments will be posted on the agency’s website as soon as they’re worked out.
