Saying he’s “lived a wasted life,” a judge sentenced Domenic Mineccia to nine years in prison for evidence tampering, plus another one-and-a-third to four years for drug dealing.

Mineccia is the man who bought heroin for himself and his girlfriend on Christmas Eve of 2014, then came home later to find her dead in the bathtub. He put Nicole Grana’s body into his car and drove around with her for the evening  before finally returning home and calling 911. Monroe County Court Judge Christopher Ciaccio found him guilty in a bench trial earlier this year.

Judge Ciaccio ordered Mineccia to serve his prison sentences for both crimes one-after-the-other instead of concurrently. At sentencing he told Mineccia he “apparently loved none of the mothers of his five children” and abused all of them physically and mentally.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley Tweeted one word: “Justice!”
