A jury heard from first responders about the terrifying moments in which gunfire tore into a crowd outside the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester nearly two years ago.
Michael Mathis, the third of three suspects charged with carrying out the drive-by shooting, went on trial Monday. Three people were killed and four others were injured. A total of 28 shots were fired.
Two other suspects have already been tried. Johnny Blackshell Jr. was sentenced to life in prison. Jalen Everett was found guilty in November, but his verdict was set aside over allegations of jury misconduct. He was acquitted at his second trial.
