Two women have been charged with assault after an incident on Columbia Avenue. One is the mother and another the aunt of Michael Mathis,
who was found not guilty of murder yesterday in connection with the 2015 shootings at the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester.
Marquita Ladd of Gates (left) and Laquetia Ladd of Rochester were both charged with Second Degree Assault after a dispute turned physical. The victim was punched in the face and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. The suspects left the scene before police got there, but were later arrested at the Hall of Justice when they arrived to witness the verdict in the Mathis trial.
