A former Holley school security officer has been granted a mid-level registered sex offender status.

Adam Mesiti, who is also a retired Brockport police officer, pled guilty earlier this year to third degree rape after having a sexual relationship with a Holley Central School student that began when she was 16.

Mesiti was granted “Level 2” status by the court, meaning he can petition to have his name cleared in 30 years if he stays out of trouble, and is considered only a moderate risk for reoffending. The judge also waived a condition requiring Mesiti to stay away from alcohol. He’s a co-owner of Five Sons Winery in Brockport.
