A husband and wife are heading to jail for keeping a pregnant woman captive in a Rochester home last summer.
In Court today, Joshua Mencel was sentenced to 16-years-to-life in prison, and Jilliane received 17 years behind bars plus 5 years post supervised release.
In June and July last year the husband and wife kept a 24-year-old pregnant woman in a home at 47 Santee Street. The woman was kept in a room with an alarm system and was subjected to repeated physical and mental abuse. An anonymous 911 call led police to rescue her.
A third co-defendant, William Geer, was previously sentenced to 6 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to 2nd degree kidnapping.
