A Monroe County Grand Jury has indicted two men accused of accidentally shooting a Parma man last fall while he was out mowing his lawn.
Mathew Rodgers and Ryan Pellman, friends in their mid-30s, were shooting at paper targets in October without using a backdrop. One of the bullets continued on through several neighboring yards and hit Kevin Flannery in the stomach as he sat on his mower.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office charged Rodgers and Pellman with second degree assault and reckless endangerment. With the indictments, they go on trial September 25th.
Flannery has since recovered.
