The Monroe County Health Department announced over the weekend that two children in the Spencerport Central School District have the measles.
Health Department officials informed the district according to a letter sent to parents that the two students attend Canal View Elementary School.
The virus was previously found in a toddler who had not been vaccinated. The two new cases are siblings and Health Director Dr. Michael Mendoza said both had visited the toddler’s home when they were exposed. They had not been vaccinated as well.
The school district is asking parents to keep unvaccinated children home until February 14th.
