The golfer from Northern Ireland breaks out of a 4-way tie to become to sole leader entering the final round.
GATES, N.Y. — Stephanie Meadow shot a third round 68 and leads the Danielle Downey FCU Classic by 3 strokes heading into Sunday’s final round at Brook-Lea Country Club.
Meadow was 4-under par on the back 9 after her only lost shots of the day, a double bogey on the Par 3 ninth.
Meadow leads Jenny Coleman, Nuria Iturrios, August Kim, and Natalie Sheary by 3 shots. Coleman turned in the best round of the day with a 6-under 66.
Seven more players are tied at 7-under shot, 4 shots off the lead, including Marissa Dodd, who is playing on a sponsor’s exemption and Csicsi Rozsa, who led the first two rounds.
Coleman and Meadow make up the final pairing, teeing off a 1:10 at Brook-Lea on Sunday.
