The U.S. Attorney for Western New York says six Rochester men, among them the husband of Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren (in photo), have been charged with taking part in a cocaine smuggling and distribution ring.
Named in the complaint are:
- Jason Siplin a/k/a J, 44;
- Jason Siplin, Jr. a/k/a Mush, 27;
- Ernest Gamble a/k/a Dred, 19;
- Lytrice Jackson a/k/a Storm, 31;
- Timothy Granison, 42; and
- Dkeidron Dublin, 39.
Dkeidron Dublin is also charged with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Federal prosecutors say the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (GRANET) was investigating a drug operation led by Jason Siplin that brought large quantities of crack and powder cocaine into Rochester, beginning around August of 2020. Siplin regularly received drugs and supplied them to a house on Glenwood Avenue on Rochester’s West Side, where the drugs were packaged for further distribution and resale. Siplin kept stashes of drugs and cash at other locations around town, all of which were raided last month by police with search warrants.
Timothy Gransion, Mayor Warren’s husband, is accused of being a drug dealer who received cocaine from Siplin’s operation and resold it, in turn, to other narcotics traffickers.
During the execution of the six search warrants, investigators seized more than 1 kilogram of cocaine and more than a ½ kilogram of crack cocaine.
Defendants Jason Siplin, Jason Siplin, Jr., Ernest Gamble, and Dkeidron Dublin made an initial appearance Monday morning before U.S. Magistrate Mark W. Pedersen and were detained. Defendant Timothy Granison made an initial appearance and was released on conditions.
