ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester RazorSharks will be honored at City Hall at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 24, following their fourth championship win in four years as part of the Premier Basketball League.
The RazorSharks finished first in the regular season, followed closely by league rival, the Kentucky Mavericks. The duo duked it out in a 3-game series that can only be described as a nail-biter. Kentucky took Game 1 by three points, Rochester took Game 2 by two points, and Rochester won Game 3 by one point just before the clock ran out.
PBL commissioner Dennis Truax called it “the best ever [series] in minor league basketball history.”
All fans are invited to celebrate their 4-peat victory on Wednesday at Rochester City Hall (30 Church St.). Everyone in attendance will receive a championship t-shirt.
