Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren wants at least 100 mayors around the nation to sign a petition on Change-dot-org…agreeing to form safer neighborhoods and to recognize June as national Gun Violence Awareness Month.
Mayor Warren says she’s hoping to get a national movement going in which U.S. mayors will try different ideas to curb gun violence in their cities and then compare notes on the ones that work.
The mayor has joined with the African American Mayors Association, #OrlandoUnited and the #OurMayors movement to address gun violence.
