Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren coasted to an easy re-election victory Republican Tony Micchiche, Green Party candidate Alex White and Independent Lori Thomas.
The primary election decided the campaign, as Warren polled more than 60 percent of the vote to more than 18 percent for Micchiche.
Warren said Rochester and Monroe County were shining bright last night. She thanked Rochester for believing in her vision for the city and said she was humbled to be the first woman elected Mayor of Rochester, and now the first woman re-elected mayor.

Voters went for a solid endorsed Democratic ticket for the Rochester City Council…keeping the council a one-party proposition.
Former Monroe County Legislator Willie Lightfoot, Mitch Gruber, and Malik Evans will be the new faces going on City Council in January. Council President Loretta Scott and incumbent Jackie Ortiz were returned to office to round out the slate. Incumbents Dana Miller, Matt Haag and Carolee Conklin decided not to seek re-election. Malik Evans moves over from the Rochester Board of Education to City Hall.
There were 11 candidates trying for the five at-large seats on city council.
