Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren announced on Facebook over the weekend that she’s running for a third term. And former City Court Judge Leticia Astacio also announced via Facebook that she’s running for a seat on the Rochester City Council.

Warren’s re-election announcement follows charges against her for allegedly violating state campaign finance laws in her last campaign three years ago.

Warren says she plans to continue to create more jobs, safer, more vibrant neighborhoods and greater educational opportunities.

As for Astacio, she previously ran for a city council seat in 2019, but was defeated by Council Member Jose Peo in a primary. He went on to be elected to the Northwest District.

Astacio was removed from City Court in October of 2018 after a ruling by the New York State Court of Appeals. She had violated probation on a DWI Conviction.
