Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren and two associates who were officials of her 2017 re-election campaign face arraignment Monday afternoon on campaign finance violation charges.

Warren, her former Campaign Treasurer Albert Jones, Jr. and Rosalind Brooks-Harris, who headed her political action committee, were all indicted on Friday by a grand jury. They’re charged with first degree scheme to defraud and violation of state election law, both Class E felonies.

Cayuga County Court Judge Thomas Leone will preside in court.

Warren’s attorney, Joe Damelio, said Friday his client is innocent and any violations were made accidentally.

Warren and the others are essentially accused of trading campaign and PAC donations back and forth in order to evade the campaign donation limits. The case has been under investigation for more than two years.
