A man in his 50s was killed Monday night when a car struck him on Lake Avenue.
Rochester police say the man was hit by a passing SUV about 11:00 p.m. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police. The badly injured man was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead there.
Police say it was not clear if the man was walking or standing in the middle of the road when he was hit.
