Rochester police responding to a report of family trouble in the area of Mitchell Street and Barberry Terrace late Thursday night arrived to find a man who appeared to have been stabbed, and a suspect who had been armed with a knife.
Officers attended to the bleeding victim and took the suspect into custody. A family member then arrived and grew irate on learning the victim had been stabbed. Police were able to calm him down and render aid to both the suspect and the victim, who turned out to be injured as well.
The 55-year-old city man who was stabbed is recovering and police say it was an isolated incident.
