A 35-year-old man was stabbed early Monday morning in a rooming house near Schwartz and Shelter Streets on the Southwest Side. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to recover. Police say a person of interest was taken into custody, but the investigation is still underway and no charges had been filed as this is written.
